No. Any phone with NFC or a camera can scan DYRE. It opens a webpage — no app download required for the finder or the owner.

Yes. Even when lost mode is off, a finder who taps your tag will see a prompt to send you a message. This covers situations where your bag is found but you haven't had the chance to enable lost mode.
Only the message you write. Nothing else. Your name, email, and phone number are never visible to anyone who scans your tag.
Yes. Your account and tag data are stored securely and never sold or shared with third parties. DYRE is built on the principle that the person finding your bag should never know who you are unless you choose to tell them.
No. DYRE does not have GPS and does not track you. Location data is only captured from the finder's device — and only if they choose to share it when sending you a message.
